Problem

Local councils face challenges in effectively engaging under-represented citizens, whose voices often go unheard due to factors such as limited access to policy information, disorganised collective voices, and council resource constraints. This leads to a lack of inclusivity and representation in the agenda-setting process, impacting the quality and responsiveness of public policies.

Solution

Unison, an AI-assisted conversation platform, helps bridge the gap between citizens and council staff by facilitating inclusive engagement. This platform would enable efficient collection and analysis of diverse citizen opinions, support real-time communication, and provide insights for policy formulation, thereby fostering a more transparent, participatory, and inclusive decision-making process.
